Resisting Oppositions
Nehemiah 4:1 But it came to pass, that when Sanballat heard that we builded the wall, he was wroth, and took great indignation, and mocked the Jews.
In Nehemiah's time, Sanballat and Tobiah opposed the rebuilding of Jerusalem's walls. They mocked, plotted, and sowed seeds of doubt to discourage Nehemiah and his companions.

In a world full of distractions, maintaining our focus on Christ can be a challenge. Just as Nehemiah refused to be distracted by Sanballat and Tobiah's taunts, we must avoid the distractions that hinder our spiritual growth and commitment to Christ.
When we boldly live out our faith, we might encounter ridicule from those who don't understand our beliefs. Nehemiah's example teaches us to rely on God's strength and to respond with grace and humility when faced with mockery.
Life's trials and hardships can sometimes shake our faith. Nehemiah's perseverance in the face of opposition reminds us to lean on God's promises and trust that He is with us through every trial we face.
Just as Judas was tempted by greed, we too face temptations as oppositions that can lead us astray from the perfect will of God. We must remember that our faithfulness to Christ is more valuable than any temporary gain or pleasure.
