Be strong in the Lord

Ephesians  6:10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.  6:11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.

Through the spirit of God, Apostle Paul implores us to find our strength in the Lord and to equip ourselves with the spiritual armor that God provides.

He reminds us that our battles are not merely physical, but rather spiritual in nature. The enemies we face are not of this world, but are forces of darkness and evil that seek to undermine our faith and draw us away from God's presence.

To "be strong in the Lord" means relying on His strength, guidance, and power. It's a call to lean on His wisdom, love, and grace as we navigate the challenges of life. It's an invitation to tap into His might, knowing that in our own strength, we are vulnerable, but in His strength, we are invincible.

Paul's imagery of the "full armour of God" underscores the importance of spiritual preparedness. Just as a soldier equips themselves with armour to face battles, we too must clothe ourselves with the spiritual tools that God provides:

the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the shoes of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. Each piece represents a different aspect of our faith and serves as a defense against the tactics of the enemy.

Remember, the battles we encounter might be fierce, but God's promise is that when we stand firm in His strength and armour, we will prevail. Our strength doesn't come from our own abilities, but from the limitless power of our Heavenly Father.

The call to "be strong in the Lord" is an invitation to shift our reliance from our own abilities to the limitless power of God. It's an acknowledgment that our human strength is insufficient in the face of the challenges posed by spiritual adversaries. By tapping into God's mighty power, we gain the strength and courage needed to withstand the attacks of the enemy.

Paul's message encourages us to approach spiritual warfare with a sense of readiness. He acknowledges that the day of evil will come, suggesting that challenges and trials are inevitable. However, by being strong in the Lord and fully equipped with His armour, we can stand our ground and withstand the onslaught. Our strength doesn't come from our circumstances, our own wisdom, or even our own righteousness—it comes from God.

As we journey through life, facing trials and tribulations, Let us continually seek the Lord's strength and put on His armour, remaining steadfast in our faith.

God bless you.
